MEMOIRS, A MUSICAL JOURNEY!

YES, I'm alive.
YES, I am well and yes, still kicking.
School is set to start on Monday and if it's one thing I am first, is a mother but I haven't forgotten you. There are many reviews that I have to sort through like Leo but before I get into any of those I could not let the day go by without letting you all know what the flex will be tonight.

Trinidadians already know about Dr Hyde but there are many of you who don't.  Let's put it this way, HE'S A BOSS and he will be inside La Vendetta tonight!  This is the 3rd Memoirs event to hit South Florida and I believe that the two prior gave me wonderful memories and hands down two of the BEST times that I've had down here.  The mood as well as the pace is just different.  You can read my Memoirs review just to get a little feel of the event.

WHICH WAY WILL WE GO?!

With three events happening in one night, what do you think is going to happen?  Which direction do you think you should go in?  Well, the decision has been made.  D'CARNIVALBABY and affiliates will be attending all three!

My affiliates and I will be attending the Mudd Maddness launch.  After all, it's family!  After that we will part ways and attend separate events.  I will be headed to Memoirs in Hollywood where I will be taken back in time, while they will attend the band launch. I can not wait for tomorrow!!!!

MEMOIRS, TAKING YOU BACK IN TIME...

About three months ago, March 28 to be exact I had to make a choice between two events.  Both had favorite deejays of mine those being Private Ryan and Dr Hyde.  The decision was tough but I decided to go with Dr Hyde at Memoirs.  Memoirs was a back in time that promised to take me back to when music was music! That night was one of the best nights I've had in South Florida and this year makes it 11 years that I've been living here.

The music brought back memories of days I wouldn't mind reliving and really did take me on a musical journey.  Music played that I had forgotten about, music that I thought others have forgotten about and just enjoyed every minute of that night.  The crowd was Caribbean, grown and sexy.  If I had to give an average age group, I would say early thirties to the mid forties but you know how we Caribs age like wine, so that could be inaccurate.

The next morning, YES, the very next morning I stalked the Instagram and Facebook pages of the deejays and promoters.  I then commented all over social media how much of a time I had and that they must do it again.  Now I am sure my stalking and heavy suggestions really had nothing to with this event coming back but I will assure the voices in my head that it did.

This night, I have work to do in 2 other events but Memoirs will be worth my absence.  For once and for the fist time I am going to do as my heart desires and send my affiliate.  She's a selfie queen and I am confident that her close up pics will do D-Junction Mas justice.  After all, I've already seen the costumes and there is NO picture she can take that can make them look bad.

Just like all parties, tickets are available for a minimal cost and it will be more at the door.  So get your tickets early!
