SO LIV 'DISSES' BEYONCE? "SORRY MS, CARTER"

Apparently this older, sorry alleged "other" woman by the name of Liv is advising Beyonce publicly on what she has and hasn't done with the Jigga Man. The song ends with her telling Beyonce that rather than talking about 'surfboards' she needs to teach these 'young girls' how to become a wife and how to act with and around her husband.  Ouch. To talk about 'real shit'.  The quality of the song is not of the best, neither is the video but she is speaking some truth. This is something that could have been done privately but having a track produced, aired and topped with a video was a little too disrespectful. Guess everyone has to capitalize.

I KNEW IT!!

In my Drunken Love singing voice, "I've been digging, I've been digging". Now that I have the proof that "I" was looking for I am good. I am over with this story and I would like it to go away by Sunday.  Hoping for Friday but hey, it's Jay-Z and B! Let's start Monday fresh and stop with all the commentary.  It was amusing and we've all had our chuckles but it's been beaten to death and needs to be put to rest because if the shoe was on the other foot (and in this case the purse/weapen) and Jay-Z would have been the attacker, it would have been an entirely different story.

Well, my readers can attest to the fact that I've said since I saw the above picture AND then when the elevator footage aired, that I believed Rihanna had something to do with it.  Not that I 'blamed' her at all but Jay just has a thing for Caribbean/Creole women! Let's not forget that not too long ago, it has been alleged that these two disliked one other because of the cheating allegations. You know, the one that Jay-Z had been helping himself to some Rihanna. It is also alleged that the steamy affair is what prompted Beyonce to write songs such as "Irreplaceable" and "Ring The Alarm".

BLUE IVY- LATIN FOR WHAT?!?!

Latin was a language that I learned in Middle School Philippa Schuyler and now I could really kick myself in the neck for not listening to my mother and pay attention.  You see, Latin isn't exactly a language that children learn in Middle School.  It's usually Spanish or French.  Now a days you have lots of languages to choose from but back then, it was Spanish or French.  So when we were offered to learn Latin, my mother was ecstatic and told me 'make sure an pay attention, there is no where else that you will be taught this language, its the language of all languages'.  I had no idea what she meant until I got into college.  Long story short, she was right.  I have never been given the opportunity to learn the language again and now I wish I payed closer attention.  In this article, pretty old article I may add but informative all the same. It's claiming that the daughter of power couple Beyonce and JayZ, Blue Ivy once spelled backwards is Latin for two words.  The two words were able to be found in the Latin language until recently.  I guess if anyone has a Latin/English translation dictionary handy, they'd be able to see for themselves but in the age of wifi, iPods, iPads, Macbooks, laptops, etc. Who has a book right?

I absolutely adore Jay and B, they did what every couple should do whether they poor like church mouse, they living comfortable or filthy rich.  They dated, got married, THEN had the baby.  Without all the Illuminati stuff, they would be perfect role models. In a way, I feel I want to leave this alone and not ask my classmate for that Latin/English translation book thats sitting on his bookshelf because I don't want to know.  I don't want to ruin this image I have of them.  But if I don't leave it alone and I do find out something that I don't 'really' want to know. What will it change?

BEYONCE'S SUPERWOMAN!

While reading, I couldn't help it, I had to not only add my opinion but add my $0.02 about all the hooplah surrounding Beyonce and her 'crazy' announcement of going back to work starting Memorial weekend.

First things first.  Baby Blue Ivy Carter was born on the 7th of January, 2012.  Now correct me if I'm wrong but don't MOST mothers get 3-6 months maternity leave?  I am just your regular Jane Doe (so to speak) and I've gotten my normal 12 weeks of maternity and requested extra time because I wanted to go back to work when I saw fit and what was comfortable for myself and family.  I however, through all 4 children worked at a bank and as a correction officer.  There was NO one waiting to take my spot.  There was no one that was on my heels to take any 'shine' as there was none to take!

Beyonce Knowles, Carter, Sasha Fierce. or whatever name she is going by today is probably the leading lady in R&B right now and the way she lives is costly and to pay for what she's accustomed to SHE HAS TO WORK because she IS in a position that she can lose.  Her spot can be taken with a blink of an eye.  There is always some one out there ready and willing to take that shine.  Right on her heels is Rihanna, who has not only the R&B crowd but seems like she has the loyalty of the entire Caribbean as well.  Its a competitive business that she's in and I think the wisest decision she could have made would have been to go back to work and to not take her success for granted.

According to The New York Post Jay-Z has been working on a $150 million deal with Live Nation for a Beyonce comeback tour.  I don't know about you.........but  that's some inspiration like a mutha....wouldn't YOU go back?  Everyone has their price and that sounds like mine LOL.

Beyonce has set the dates for her post-baby performances.  They will take place over Memorial Day weekend during a trio concert at the Revel resort in Atlantic City.  Tickets for the shows go on sale starting April 6th and she will be performing May 25th, 26th and the 27th.  I'd love to see the prices they're calling for those!

Side note *she had Blue Ivy just 10 weeks ago and her body looks AH-FRICKIN-MAZING!!!!!  Just goes to show, whether you work in a job as common as a bank, a prison or as elaborate a job as what Beyonce does (can't narrow her job down cause she does it all) at the end of the day, she is a woman, doing what she gotta do!  Don't we all?  She's no different to any other superwoman!  Kudos.

MACHEL CHILDREN'S SHOW

This email came to me since Tuesday but didn't feel the need to blog about it until today, mainly because when I spoke about it among peers, they had no clue there was even a childrens show scheduled.  So I figured others didn't know either.

Along with the 'RETURN' of Machel Montano, publicists strongly suggested that everyone join the mailing list on Machel's Website and to follow him on twitter.  The registered followers to any or both got automatic entry to several drawings. As far as this 'RETURN', I really don't know where he really went.  The man had an album last year, had an awesome performance as Beyonce's opening act in Trinidad in her last stop of her 'I AM' concert tour.  In doing so did a duet with Destra!  Oh, wait no, maybe because he didn't perform for the carnival season, play mas or didn't have his concert in the stadium he went somewhere. Steups, that was only to ensure Beyonce ticket sales.  If the people tusty enough to see Machel, they woulda pay a pound and a crown to see him open for Beyonce.  Cause truth be told, if there were people who saw Machel for the whole carnival season you thnk they woulda pay to see him open for Beyonce or to see Beyonce for the price they was callin? There were some that could have cared less about Beyonce and only went to see Machel. I was there, the concert was dry and the best part OF the concert was when she mixed her 'Check Up On It' song with JW an Blaze's Road March chune 'Palance'. (If you happened to miss Beyonce palance, checkout this video or many of the others on youtube HERE OR check her out palancin in Club Zen in Trinidad HERE (this video is more clear). But anyway, enough of that. Here's what the people say is going on with the children's concert.

PRESS RELEASE on the 15th February 2011 We have chosen to cancel the children show carded for the Jean Pierre Complex on Sunday 20th February because of several logistics problems that we are unable to overcome in time. There are the additional challenges arising out of the multiple bookings at the venue that severely limits set up time. THE BIG BEYONCE BAN!!!!!!!!

Apparently Beyonce has a new line. Its of perfume and it's called HEAT!  

Well after Britain viewers watched the newly aired ad, 14 people were offended and thought that the ad would harm children who viewed the commercial and it should not be aired during the daytime hours when children would see it.  Well, I guess that 14 is great enough a number because her ad is now BANNED in Britain and can only be aired AFTER 7pm for being too "sexually provocative".

This is a load of crap! Aren't children IN SCHOOL during the daytime? 

Aren't they home, free to watch television after 7pm?

Isn't that when the family usually sit down and watch television? After 6pm?

Isn't that why they call it PRIME TIME?

JUST ASKING.

The way I know it is, children come home from school, do chores, homework, eat something for dinner and then watch television til its time for bed. The commercial ad is a bit on the sexy side but come on, they have that everywhere now and I'm not saying that sex is okay, I'm saying that there are levels of it.  I don't see what is so wrong OR offensive, Beyonce herself wearing a silk dress down to her ankle is still considered sexy.  The ad was nothing short of typical Beyonce and John Public just wants something to complain about.  I SURE we will see that commercial ad in the good ole US of A!!
